Privacy Policy

yeah if you run any command with the TOC bot (or get logged for a TOC event) we collect the bare minimum of data needed for that

1. Baseline Data Collected

umm uhh not much, just your discord user ID and the data that gets associated with it by us (TOC points, riots, trainings, Application For Points, etc.)

2. Linked Roles

if you haven't seperately authorised the TOC bot (in a prompt that looks like this), then this section does not apply to you

we don't really collect any more data about your account than what's strictly necessary to run linked roles. it's nothing personally identifying, but if you want to know, here's a list:

  1. baseline oauth (purely technical data)
  2. user data (we can only access fields under the identify scope, but we only use the "id" field so we can associate the above data with what's below)
  3. role connection data only between your discord account and the TOC bot

2a. Opting out of Linked Roles

  1. if you haven't seperately authorised the TOC bot (in a prompt that looks like this), then we do not collect any of the data mentioned in this section and you don't have to worry about it
  2. but if you have, you can remove the authorisation using instructions from this random website I found: https://securoth.com/blog/thirdpartyint.html (archived link)
  3. after you unauthorise using the above method, we immediately lose access to your user data (2.2) and discord erases your role connection data (2.3) with the TOC bot
  4. we don't erase your baseline oauth data automatically (2.1), though we can still do it if you exercise your right to erasure (3.4)
  5. we keep your discord user ID to deliver the rest of our services (unless you also exercise your right to erasure (3.4))

3. GPDR Right to erasure/right to be forgotten

  1. when you leave the discord, your points, riots, and trainings get reset to zero, but your previous stats gets logged to a channel that only TOC command (Enforcer+) can see, so that we can quickly restore your data if you request it
  2. buuut if you really want to exercise your rights (or just want to bother me, im not going to bother verifying if you actually have rights), contact me (section 4)
  3. please note that if you make your request by email, you must include the relevant Discord User ID, as well as evidence that you own the Discord account associated with that ID.
  4. should you want your data completely wiped it'll be done (exceptions listed in section 3a), and you won't get a do-over! just know that moderation data isn't tracked with the TOC bot, so if you're looking to evade punishment or whatever... womp womp?
  5. also data erasures are logged by a timestamp stating when your request was made and the associated discord user ID, but only in a seperate log, accessible only by TOC Consigliere+, TOC Head of Development and the TOC Bot Developer.

3a. Exceptional Data

This section details data that we cannot entirely delete and/or deassociate with you.

  1. Application For Points
    1. Your AFPs instead will be anonymised so that they cannot be tied to your Discord User ID.
    2. We cannot guarantee that these will remain anonymous as this will involve editing or deleting potentially large swathes of Discord messages present in a publicly accessible Discord channel dedicated to AFP logs. The widespread usage of message loggers by other members of the public may give rise to the Streisand effect.
    3. You may opt out of AFP anonymisation (See section 3a.i)
  2. Ranking logs
    1. Your public ranking logs in our Discord can be deleted, but this may induce the same problem as mentioned above (3a.1.2), so you may opt out of this (see 3a.i)
    2. Your private ranking logs (accessible by TOC Technicians, TOC Underboss+, and the TOC Bot Developer) may also be deleted but we are unable to delete the corresponding log present in the associated Roblox group. You will need to file a seperate Right to be Forgotten request with Roblox, for more information on this see Roblox's Privacy Policy.
    3. Should you affirm whether you wish for your private ranking logs to be deleted (you will be asked to confirm this), TOC Command reserves the right to remove or adjust your membership in any TOC Roblox groups in order to maintain the integrity of The Orange Crew.
    4. The TOC Bot does not store any information associating you with any Roblox accounts, and will not ever perform any processing with them except when directed to by TOC Command.

3a.i: Opting out of Exceptional Data Erasure and/or Anonymisation

If you would like some aspects of your Exceptional Data to not be deleted or anonymised (as permitted in Section 3a), please include this in your request. We will record any modifications to your data erasure request (see 3.5) for compliance purposes.
